The Valencia Shores Jazz and Cabaret Club is proud to announce online reserved seat ticketing.  You can now order your tickets using a safe and secure website.  By simply going to www.jazzandcabaretclub.com and clicking on the “order tickets” button you can buy tickets using your Visa, Mastercard or Amex,  Select the concert you wish to attend and check the button. Purchase up to 10 members seats at once when you supply their names in the comments box. Select your table. If you are a member and purchasing tickets after the 1st 5 days be sure to select the members tickets choice for that concert (remember that non members pay $5 more). The site will total your amount. Enter your credit card, address and email info and you are done. You may print your tickets immeadiately, by clicking on the “Print Tickets” button while paying for your order. Within a few minutes of completing your purchase you will also receive, via email, a confirmation of your purchase and an attachment of printable tickets with bar code for entrance to the show.  Just bring the ticket to the show and you’re in !  These tickets are transferable, so you may sell them to other residents (if you find you cannot attend. Please remember all sales are final and non refundable)  With this new fast, secure and convenient method you will be able to purchase your tickets as soon as they go on sale.  From either here at Valencia Shores, or away, as long as you have access to the internet you will be able to purchase you tickets, and you will have an actual ticket with all the information about date and time printed directly on it. FAQ’s (Frequently Asked Questions)

Q. Why are we doing this?

A. When we first thought of bringing the Jazz and Cabaret Club to Valencia Shores, we knew it would require a large commitment of time and effort. However as in all new ventures, we had no real idea that the ticketing part of producing these concerts would take as much time and effort as it did. We would prefer to put our time and effort into increasing the frequency of concerts and continuing to pursue talented musicans to perform for you. With 6 to 8 concerts planned for each year, we would have overlapping ticket purchase periods which would create record keeping and bank deposit nightmares. We are a club dedicated to the enjoyment of our members. (We thank all of you who volunteer on Concert Nights to help set up tables, but we would like to have everyone enjoy the concert experience so we aren’t going to ask for volunteers to help with ticketing). Going to online ticketing means relying less on envelope drops, pickups, recompiling reservation lists etc. All of this is handled on line. From the site, we, as the J&CClub, can download the already compiled lists, deposits are made directly to our club bank account and our members get a physical ticket. We promise that after you have done this a couple of times you will vastly prefer it to the old way. In fact we would not be surprised to see other groups moving towards on line ticketing as well.

Q. How secure is the site?

A. Very. You will be purchasing your tickets through Authorize.net’s gateway, one of the largest and most secure in the country. Your credit card information is never entered on or kept on the Jazz and Cabaret Club site. When you press the purchase tickets button on the Jazz and Cabaret Club site you are taken to Thundertix.com a major player in ticketing events for  concert venues including Old Dominion University.

Q. How many tickets can I purchase?

A. 2 per member household during the membership 5 day priority period. You may purchase tickets for up to 8 other members simultaneously by supplying their names in the comments box when you purchase the tickets. (Tickets bought without supplying names will be cancelled and subject to a refund charge) After 5 days you may purchase non members tickets at a cost of $5 more than the members tickets  if they are available. To some extent, this is an honor system. It is the J&C Club’s intent to allow as many members of the J&CC  to be able to purchase tickets prior to members purchase of guest tickets. Please be considerate of your fellow members of the club. If you attempt to purchase tickets for nonmembers prior to the time members or non members are allowed to purchase additional tickets, the web site will let you purchase them, however we will remove the bar code number from our system and void the unauthorized tickets. This means that whoever tries to use these tickets will be embarrassed at the door when they are not allowed entry.

Q. What if I am not a member?

A. You may buy tickets 5 days after they are available to members. For most concerts, there have been tickets available to non members. However joining the club to support live music at Valencia Shores is never a bad idea.

Q. Can I use the site to become a member?

1. A.You can now pay your 2009-20010 membership fee on line as of April 1st 2009.
   

Q. How do community members find out about concerts if they are not on the email list for the club?

A. Our website always has this information available as well as a calendar of all upcoming events. In addition we have flyers in Shorelines announcing concert dates. Also we will have an event listed on the ticket website where you can enter your email address to join our mailing list.

Q. How do I print this so called “attatchment”?

1. A.Click on the button in the final screen when you purchase your tickets that says “Print Tickets”. They will print right then and there. You will also get an email with an attatchment that contains your tickets. Use this if you misplace your earlier printed tickets. Multiple concertgoers attempting to enter using duplicate tickets will be picked up by our scanner at entry and you will be denied admission to the concert until we can straighten out the matter.
   

2. B.An attatchment is just a document that is included with an e mail, but not in the displayed body of the e mail. Your internet browser (explorer, AOL, Safari, Yahoo, Hotmail and Firefox) will indicate at the top of the e mail that there is an attatchment present. If you double click on the attatchment notification (usually in blue or red) at the top of the e mail. When it opens you can just print it using your printer as with a word document.  You will also be able to download and save it and the email to a folder.  Double click on it to open it. Q. Can I buy tickets without going on line.

A. In short no. On line ticketing is not just the wave of the future it is the present for almost every theatrical and show event throughout the country.We will be happy to help you through the purchasing experience. We will have meetings explaining it. We will be happy to walk you through it on the phone, and most of us have neighbors who would be happy to help in the process.

Q. What if I lose my ticket.

A. When you download your ticket attatchment, save the file. You may reprint your tickets any time from your own computer. In the event you have lost the file and the tickets, please call us for assistance.

17. Q.How do I exchange my tickets if I need to.
    

A.All sales for concert attendance are final. We suggest that exchanges might be accomplished by posting to the bulletin board in the card room. Please bring a file card saying that you either want to sell or buy attendance at the concert to the desk in the Social Hall to have them stamped.
